Without my reliable pension to support me, the move wouldn’t have been possible.

Barry is 74 and is a retired secondary school teacher. He spent 22 years in teaching and has been receiving a teacher’s pension for 27 years after taking Ill-health Retirement.

Being a member of the Teachers’ Pension Scheme means that Barry is protected and has a secure income for life. He’s been able to move overseas and make the most of his pension benefits whilst enjoying a comfortable retirement.

Barry would encourage all members to remain in the Scheme as it has provided him with the support and security he needed, to enjoy his retirement.

What can Barry do?
