    If the member retires or dies in service on or after 1 January 2007 a survivor’s pension may be paid to a surviving qualifying partner. There’s no longer a requirement for a surviving qualifying partner to be nominated in order to receive benefits, however we recommend a Partner Notification form is completed so that we’re aware of the relationship ahead of time.
