Our website has changed – Find out how

From 1 April changes have been implemented to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme, which means there’s been a suite of improvements to this website including:

  • The introduction of a new tool to help you to determine which member type you are (i.e. protected, transition or tapered)
  • Once you’re aware of which member type you are, we’ve created new website content which is specific to your member type and your Scheme Arrangement (i.e. career average or final salary).
  • A new Flexibilities form - you’ll be able to choose from a range of flexibilities depending on which arrangement you’re in. Find out more about Flexibilities here
  • A new annual allowance calculator, which allows you to see how much you can earn before you meet the tax threshold.

Please be aware that due to these changes, any content you’ve bookmarked will need to be updated. Also our microsite www.teacherspensions.co.uk/change2015 (This link opens in a new window) will no longer be updated. We know members have found it useful, so don’t worry this information is all available via this website.

There’s also:

  • New factsheets
  • New FAQs
  • Improved Retirement forms
  • Improved search functionality to enable you to find relevant content more easily
  • Revised site navigation to enable a smoother journey.

If you have a My Pension Online account the following changes have been made:

  • A new family benefits modeller, which uses your details to estimate how much your family may get if you were to die.
  • A new death grant modeller, which uses your details to estimate how much your spouse may get if you were to die.
  • An enhanced commutation modeller, which reflects the different scheme arrangements.
  • New flexibilities form

We’ll shortly also be providing a tool which will identify which member type you are when you log in.

These are available online via My Pension Online. If you haven’t already, you’ll need to sign up for an account here.

My Pension Online is an online PIN protected portal that lets you check and manage your personal pension information, as well as contacting Teachers’ Pensions securely. You can complete a range of tasks including checking up on your Annual Benefit Statement, updating your personal details, completing online forms and accessing a range of tools and calculators.
