You may be aware through recent media interest of a vulnerability in OpenSSL an encryption tool used across much of the internet. The vulnerability is commonly known as "Heartbleed".

Our IT and security teams took immediate steps across all online systems, our technologies have either been updated or are not exposed to this vulnerability. We are continuing to monitor the situation but have no concerns at this stage.

We have no reason to believe that any part of Teachers’ Pensions has been improperly accessed due to this vulnerability, but as a matter of best practice we remind all users to reset their passwords on a regular basis.
