Reporting of overtime

In order to ensure that your MDC submissions are accurate, please ensure that overtime is not included in the full-time annual salary for a member, but is provided separately in the overtime column of the MDC file.

Information on overtime payments must be provided, regardless of whether the member is in the Final Salary or Career Average arrangement.

If the member has not received an overtime payment, please leave the overtime column blank.

Including the overtime as part of the full-time annual salary will create inaccurate benefits when the member comes to retire, and also potentially errors in the contribution rate.
